Career

Alfonso has over ten years of experience, with a focus on commercial and civil litigation as well as in arbitration, out-of-court negotiations and insolvency law. He is well known for his advice in corporate conflicts, insurance disputes, construction related litigation, corporate hiring, international disputes and inheritance disputes. He has participated in arbitrations before numerous national and international arbitration and ad hoc institutions. 

Alfonso has been a practicing lawyer since 2004. Prior to his incorporation in RCD, he developed his career at Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira.

RCD combines expertise in intellectual property and IT litigation, with domestic and international arbitration experience. The practice is led by Ignacio Benejam, Jordi Sanchez and Alfonso Maristany, who was promoted to partner in 2018. The team focuses on disputes arising from a range of commercial and corporate litigation, as well as multi-jurisdictional cases. It was strengthened by the arrival of senior associate Salvio Codes, who joined from Gómez-Acebo & Pombo. Juan Manuel de Castro moved in the opposite direction.
