Career

With over 20 years’ experience, Renaud LE SQUEREN specialises in Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) law, intellectual property (IP), commercial law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate as well as real estate law. He is ranked as a ‘Recommended lawyer’ in Legal500’s 2023 Corporate M&A category.

Since 2014, he has successfully directed DSM Avocats à la Cour’s Digital department, where he actively advises businesses on their digital transformation, in particular as regards GDPR compliance and related issues, platforms, e-commerce, API and mobile phone applications.

Prior to joining DSM Avocats à la Cour in 2010, Renaud LE SQUEREN worked as an attorney in two Luxembourg law firms. He became partner at DSM Avocats à la Cour in May of 2015. Between 2005 and 2008, he worked as an external consultant for the National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD).

He is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences on corporate and real estate law, the GDPR, information technologies, contracts and commercial transactions, and he regularly publishes articles on those practice areas.

Mr. LE SQUEREN speaks fluent French and English. He is an active member of several professional associations, including the International Business Law Consortium (IBLC) legal network. He is also the vice-president of the Association for Data Protection in Luxembourg (APDL) and eCOM.lu (Luxembourg Federation of E-merchants). Moreover, he is a member of the Luxembourg Institute of Directors (ILA), the Luxembourg Drone Federation and of the IMS Luxembourg’s (Inspiring More Sustainability) CEO Sustainability Club.

Mr. LE SQUEREN obtained his master’s degree in business law from the University of Burgundy in 2001, as well as a master’s (Maîtrise) degree in business law from the Robert Schuman University in 2000.
