Career

Frits is involved in mediation and litigation in high profile insurance and liability cases. His practice focuses on professional indemnity claims and review of domestic and international insurance policies. He is also a trusted adviser to companies, officers (and supervisory directors) and insurers in the broad field of D&O liability and professional liability. He acts in claims for and against officers and supervisory directors in large and complex matters. He regularly advises commercial businesses and institutions on risk management and corporate governance. Furthermore, he also regularly advises clients from the financial sector. 

Frits lectures insurance law at the VU University Amsterdam” and is a researcher at its Law faculty. He is a member of VVVW (Association for Insurance Science), VBR (Association Civil Law), VASR (Association for Liability and Damages Rights), CausaRie and VNAB (Assicoation Dutch Insurance Exchange). Furthermore, he worked for almost 20 years in the insurance industry.
