David has worked at law firms since 2001 with a leave during 2002-03 for court clerkship at Malmö District Court. David helps companies and government agencies in their task to protect, commercialise, and enforce intellectual property rights such as trademarks, domain names, patents, designs, copyrights and market related questions. David is head of the Intellectual Property group at the Malmö office.

David also workes to a great extent with assisting clients with the review, drafting and negotiation of contracts, including mergers and acquisitions and real estate transactions.  Furthermore, David has great experience as legal counsel in a large number of disputes in District Courts, Court of Appeals and in the Supreme Court, as well as in the Market Court.

Recent work included acting for Volvo in two opposition proceedings against a Finnish company's trade mark registrations for wheel designs. Monique Wadsted joined Bird & Bird in 2019.
