Position

Mr. Yalçın is a leader in our Commercial Support practice group, where he plays a key role in assisting corporations in their day-to-day legal needs. Mr. Yalçın is renowned for his in-depth understanding of the various sectors in which our clients operate and his ability to tailor customized solutions to fit each sector and deal. Through his excellent representation in a significant number of recent high-profile cases, Mr. Yalçın has developed an outstanding reputation as a specialist in anti-dumping proceedings.

Mr. Yalçın primarily represents foreign companies entering the Turkish market and foreign and local companies for their day-to-day operational needs, including corporate governance, contract management, anti-bribery and anticorruption, franchising and distribution, and data protection. He represents some of the largest foreign companies doing business in Turkey in the aviation, manufacturing, insurance, life sciences, and automotive sectors.

Mr. Yalçın is a member of the Istanbul Bar Association, the International Bar Association (IBA), the Fordham University Alumni Association, the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD), and the American Bar Association (ABA); he is a co-founder and member of the Istanbul chapter of the International Law Institute (ILI); and he is a Board Member of the Istanbul University School of Law Alumni Association.

Mr. Yalçın received his Bachelor of Laws from Istanbul University School of Law in 2002, a Master of Laws from Fordham University School of Law in 2006, and a Master of Law in Business Law from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2008.

Recent highlights include continuing to act for a US sportswear and footwear retailer in relation to employment lawsuits initiated by former employees and five pre-litigation mediation processes, as well as providing advice on day-to-day employment-related matters. Clients include Bloomberg, Mars and Manpower. Bige Yücel and Ufuk Yalçın jointly head the team.
