Position

The head of the Banking and Finance Department at ROWAN LEGAL, Martin Šubrt is also involved in corporate law, and additionally research regarding the legal aspects of debt corporate finance at Charles University, Faculty of Law. Prior to joining ROWAN LEGAL, Martin Šubrt worked at well-known global institutions in London, where he worked mainly on syndicate funding, securitizations, and financial derivative projects. At present, he leads teams involved in banking transaction projects and acts as a local counsel for The Royal Bank of Scotland Plc in the Czech and Slovak Republic. He focuses on debt finance, corporate finance and regulation of financial markets – often representing clients before the Czech National Bank and courts. Recently, Martin Šubrt represented a client in financial derivatives dispute before LCIA.
