Maxime is a partner in the dispute resolution team in Fieldfisher’s Brussels office

Career

Maxime’s practice focuses on litigation and arbitration in the field of contract law, corporate law and market abuse. He has a significant experience in domestic and international commercial arbitration both as counsel and arbitrator. His experience covers representation of Belgian and foreign clients in:

• Contractual disputes;

• Shareholders’ disputes;

• Liability for assets (mis)management cases;

• Directors’ liability cases;

• Real estate cases.

He has a broad experience in domestic and international commercial arbitration both as counsel and arbitrator (CEPANI, ICC and ad hoc). Maxime also handles enforcement proceedings of national and international awards before Belgian courts, as well as setting aside proceedings. In this framework, Maxime has advised international clients seeking to enforce an international arbitral award in Belgium or opposing such enforcements.
Maxime is a lecturer in contract and in ADR at the Faculty of Law of Saint-Louis University – Brussels and regularly publishes articles in the field of contract law, corporate law and arbitration
