Iris is a counsel in the Real Estate, Environment & Regulatory practice

Career

Iris has a particular focus on:

  • real estate transactions
  • real estate developments (offices, residential and retail developments)
  • construction and engineering contracts (including PPP)
  • lease agreements, leasing agreements and negotiations

Iris advises clients on a broad range of real estate issues including real rights (property, long lease, building rights) and personal rights (all types of leasing and financial leasing), usufruct and construction matters.  She also assists clients in real estate transactions (asset and share deal) and in real estate developments.

Education

Iris graduated with a law degree from the University of Antwerp in 1998. In 1999, she graduated from the University of Brussels as Master in Economic and Financial Law. She was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2003, and in 2007 she transferred to the Antwerp Bar. Since 2003, she has held increasingly senior posts with independent Belgian law firms, joining Lydian in 2014 and being promoted to Counsel in 2018.
