Fredrik has been a partner since 2010 and is the leader of Setterwalls’ IP/Tech team. He is a technology lawyer and assist Swedish and international companies with technology and IP intensive projects, including in relation to Technology Partnerships, IP Transactions and the development, commercialization, licensing and protection of Technology and IP.

Fredrik has a technology background which has proved to be a valuable asset when advising clients on complex matters such as introduction of new technologies and digital services. Fredrik assists clients when setting up complex partnerships and joint ventures relating to research & development and commercialization of new technology and IP in areas including AI, Automation, Blockchain, FinTech and Internet of Things.

Fredrik has a particular interest and experience in projects relating to data, including big data analysis, machine learning and AI. Fredrik has more than 15 years’ experience of working with regulatory issues relating to privacy and personal data and advises clients on data from both an IP and regulatory perspective, and regularly assists with negotiations of contractual data rights.

In addition, Fredrik Roos has been ranked by Legal 500 (Intellectual Property and Media and IT and Telecoms), Who’s Who Legal and as Trademark Star by IP Stars.
