Sören Brekell has worked for many years on Setterwalls’ tax team and co-heads the tax department helping Swedish and foreign companies with tax law issues.

Sören has comprehensive experience of carrying out restructuring of both medium-sized and large companies, including those with international business. He has vast experience of working with tax lawsuits, carrying out and planning generational shifts, and relocation and splitting up groups of companies. A large part of his work is linked to tax and corporate law considerations as well as tax planning in conjunction with mergers and acquisitions.

Sören also works with tax issues for specific sectors, such as companies carrying out construction work, securities operations and companies that are subject to energy taxes. Tax planning and legal issues linked to closely held companies form a major part of his work.
