Sweden > Shipping

Setterwalls fields a robust maritime and transport law group, which features practice head Åke Fors, Martin Sandgren and associate Samuel Pihl. The group is particularly active in shipping insurance mandates, including representing international P&I clubs in cargo claims and disputes. Recent corporate mandates included advising on joint ventures and company mergers; the team also handled ship financing matters, registrations, transport agreements and sales.

Sweden > Energy

As a prominent name in the wind power sector (with clients including producers, investors and suppliers), Setterwalls’ energy team also receives a stream of mandates involving biofuel, battery storage, district heating and other renewable energy projects. Co-head Jonas Frii routinely advises on project financings and acquisitions, while co-heads Tove Andersson and Anders Linnerborg are key partners for environmental and regulatory issues. The practice also handles high-stakes energy-related arbitration proceedings, including compensation disputes in the hydropower sector. Co-head Martin Sandgren is the primary contact for nuclear power decommissioning work.
