Industry focus: IT, telecoms and the internet Tier 3

Bersay & Associés advises clients on a vast array of matters pertaining to website audits and management, e-commerce platform administration and data protection. In addition to providing ongoing and regular GDPR compliance advice, the firm is assisting a client with the launch of a new mobile application in France for a cloud-based transport optimisation platform under the leadership of counsel Delphine Touboul. Emmanuel Schulte, of counsel Martine Georges-Naim - who recently advised on regulatory matters pertaining to 3G and 4G networks overseas - and of counsel Stéphanie Benmoussa-Molkhou are also key contacts. The team was recently bolstered by the arrival of intellectual property specialist Claire Poirson from De Pardieu Brocas Maffei, who handled the drafting and negotiating of SaaS agreements.

Administrative and public law Tier 4

Bersay & Associés set up its public law practice at the beginning of 2018 after hiring Martin Tissier, who previously worked at his own firm, BOT Avocats. Tissier's team has strong public law contract and regulated-sector expertise. The firm is notably assisting several local public sector entities, including Haute-Garonne Numérique and SPL Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Numérique, with major broadband network infrastructure development projects across the country. The firm is also advising on several energy sector projects.

Insolvency Tier 4

Bersay & Associés regularly acts for SME clients facing difficulties. The firm notably assisted Acco SAS and Acco Semiconductor with the insolvency of the French subsidiary and subsequent takeover by investors. It also acted for Nantaise des Eaux Ingénierie in safeguard proceedings. Dimitri-André Sonier  is noted. The firm also advises investors on takeover bids for distressed assets.
