Headed by Grania Baird,  Farrer & Co 's two-partner team generates a substantial amount of regulatory work as a result of the firm's impressive roster of clients in the private banking and private wealth management sectors in particular. Baird has been advising a private bank in relation to a significant redraft of the terms of business of its wealth management arm, particularly in light of MiFID ii. As part of his wide-ranging practice, Andy Peterkin provides regulatory input in relation to the operation of alternative investment funds, as well as on capital markets and securities regulatory matters.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
