Position

Jonathan advises employers and senior executives on the full range of legal issues connected with employment, including large-scale redundancies, TUPE, team moves, contract changes and employment litigation. His employer clients include media organisations, charities (including schools), NDPBs, galleries and museums and professional firms (including other law firms, accountancy practices and barristers chambers).

Career

Jonathan spent three years teaching at a leading independent school before joining Farrer & Co in 1999 as a trainee solicitor. He qualified in 2001 and became a partner in 2008.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
