(Leading individuals)The ‘commercially very strong’ four-partner team at Divjak Topic Bahtijarevic & Krka has an excellent reputation among international and domestic corporates, including many within highly regulated industries, as a result of its ability to provide a one-stop-shop service across the spectrum of day-to-day commercial/operational requirements, as well as on discrete standalone projects. The firm also has ‘an excellent understanding of the M&A process’ – including numerous recent high-profile mandates in the IT sector – and adds value by virtue of its ability to provide competition law advice if necessary, an area for which name partner Mario Krka is particularly well regarded. Team head Damir Topić is appreciated for his ‘problem-solving approach’, a quality that he implements to good effect on behalf of clients in many complex cross-border M&A mandates. The ‘very able and smart’ Ema Menđušić Škugor handles the day-to-day operational needs of many of the firm’s key clients, including those within the insurance and telecoms sectors. As well as being a key support to German clients, as result of German language fluency, Marina Kovač Krka also excels at providing corporate and M&A support to energy sector clients. At an associate level, the ‘solutions-oriented’ Dina Salapić ‘is very responsive and has great technical knowledge’.
