Position

Stian Tande Mortensen is a Partner with Wikborg Rein's Capital Markets team, specialising in debt capital market transactions and in particular Norwegian high yield bond issues. He has significant experience from advising both issuers and managers on large and complex debt capital markets transactions, as well as advising issuers in relation to ongoing compliance under bond agreements and stock exchange regulations and dealings with bondholders and the bond trustee. Mortensen advises in relation to listing of bonds on Oslo Børs and on the Nordic Alternative Bond Market (ABM), securities laws and listing regulations. Mortensen has previously worked as in-house legal counsel at DNB Bank ASA, as advisor to DNB Markets and the Debt Capital Markets division.

Wikborg Rein is recognised in the market for its public takeover strength with substantial expertise in the offshore and energy markets. In a recent highlight, Per Anders Sæhle acted for Transocean on its successful takeover of listed company Songa Offshore; other work for the department includes Sæhle assisting Weifa with a bid by Karo Pharma for its outstanding shares via a voluntary cash offer, department head Dag Erik Rasmussen advising Clarksons Platou Securities as manager of the listing of Star Bulk Carriers on the Oslo Stock Exchange, and Rasmussen and Sigurd Opedal handling Norsk Hydro's NOK27bn acquisition of Orkla's 50% interest in Sapa. Christoffer Bergene is deputy head of the group and newly promoted partner Stian Tande Mortensen leads the DCM practice.
