Eleanor Midwinter is a Specialist Counsel at Wikborg Rein’s London office, working with majors, traders, banks and shipping interests. She has special experience in physical commodities trading, shipping and shipbuilding. Eleanor handles litigation, arbitration and mediation as well as informal negotiations. Eleanor drafts a range of contractual documents, including in relation to sales, storage, and transport, and she advises on related issues such as due diligence, change management agency, confidentiality and distribution. Eleanor’s shipping work includes disputes under MOAs, charters, bills of lading and marine insurance policies. She has significant expertise in advising and assisting with the resolution of superyacht disputes under the MYBA charter and MOA forms, and under commission / central agency agreements. Eleanor’s shipbuilding work includes project support and dispute resolution regarding contracts, modifications, delivery and payment, warranty and guarantees (for both commercial vessels and superyachts).
