Eleanor Midwinter is a Senior Lawyer at Wikborg Rein’s London office, working with majors, traders, banks and shipping interests. Her work is sector focussed, in the areas of physical commodities trading, shipping and shipbuilding. Within commodities and trade, Eleanor handles disputes and drafts documentation in relation to sales, storage, and transport, as well as related issues including due diligence, chemicals regulation, price renegotiation, agency, confidentiality and introduction. Eleanor’s shipping work includes disputes under MOAs, charters, bills of lading and insurance policies. She has significant expertise in advising and assisting with the resolution of superyacht disputes under the MYBA charter and MOA forms, and under commission / central agency agreements. Eleanor’s shipbuilding work includes project support and dispute resolution regarding contracts, modifications, delivery and payment, warranty and guarantees (for both commercial vessels and superyachts). Wikborg Rein is best known for its work in the offshore and maritime sector, which stems from its expertise in commodities, energy, cargo claims and chartering.
