William Fry‘s insurance practice works with both insurers and reinsurers on complex, cross-border matters. In 2019, the firm handled matters ranging from advising on acquisitions in the insurance space, assisting quasi-statutory organisations with legislative changes, and acting for insurers on restructuring their obligations. The firm’s workload also includes contentious cases as well as advisory work related to the changes in the insurance market as a result of Brexit. The practice is led by John Larkin, who has ‘industry leading knowledge and a wealth of practical experience in Irish and European insurance matters‘, while Eoin Caulfield advises on transactions and regulatory matters.
