Lukas Wyss is a partner in the Banking & Finance Team. He advises banks, insurers and other companies in connection with finance transactions, capital market transactions and more generally in regulatory, securities and corporate law matters. In finance, he focuses on corporate debt finance, leveraged finance, asset finance (including real estate finance), acquisition finance and structured finance and securitisation.

Lukas Wyss was educated at Zurich University and Lausanne University (lic. iur. 2000) and Columbia University, New York, USA (LL.M. 2006, James Kent Scholar). He was admitted to the Zurich bar in 2002. He gained working experience as a District Court law clerk (Meilen, ZH) and as attorney at major law firms in Zurich and New York.

Walder Wyss Ltd.’s team is particularly strong in lending and structured finance transactions, and is active at the international level for a range of high-profile clients. Co-leading the team is regulatory and fintech expert Thomas Müller, Lukas Wyss, who specialises in domestic and cross-border finance transactions, and Theodor Härtsch, who focuses on leveraged finance, syndicated lending, and structured finance work. Other core team members include Luc Defferrard, Johannes Bürgi, and David Borer, who joined from Homburger in July 2022. Associate Roger Ammann has experience in asset based financings.

Walder Wyss Ltd. offers broad support on capital markets transactions, with areas of expertise including IPOs, high-yield and mezzanine financings, and straight bond and convertible bond issuances. Theodor Härtsch leads the team, and has a broad practice which includes IPOs, rights issuances, and regulatory matters. Lukas Wyss handles regulatory, securities, and corporate law matters, while Alex Nikitine contributes expertise in DCM and ECM offerings.
