Helen has over 25 years experience in dealing with commercial property. She has advised individuals, companies (including finance companies) and charities on their commercial property and development needs. Helen has advised on conditional contracts, options and overage agreements and has acted in a number of high profile developments in York and North Yorkshire.

Helen is experienced in advising landed estates in relation to sales (mostly of part) and purchases of farmland and property; farm business tenancies and grazing agreements; commercial leases of industrial units in rural settings and other agreements and letting arrangements often linked to diversification. She is used to dealing with deeds covering large areas and has acted in sales of part sometimes from very old titles, different trust structures and sometimes settled land. She has also been involved with registration at the Land Registry of whole estates with the challenge of identity of various parcels of land.

Helen has particular interest in advising landowners (including landed estates) and farmers in relation to sales and purchases of agricultural land and farms, farm business tenancies and grazing agreements as well as advising on farm workers and their tenancies.
