Career

Javier García Sanz is a lawyer in the Madrid office of Uría Menéndez. He joined the firm in 1995 and became a partner in January 2005.

He focuses his professional practice primarily on litigation in civil, commercial, contentious-administrative and administrative law matters.

Javier represents clients in the various stages of proceedings on civil and commercial matters, including company, banking and intellectual property law, human rights, tort and obligations and contracts. He has also participated in a number of arbitration proceedings.

With respect to administrative law, he regularly provides advice to companies and public entities on matters regarding public contracts, authorisations and licences, public assets, punitive proceedings, data protection, energy and telecommunications. His experience includes litigation in contentious-administrative proceedings before different courts, as well as human rights protection proceedings before the Constitutional Court.
