Career

Tomás Arranz is a partner at the Competition and EU Law Practice Area. He has worked in the Brussels and Madrid offices and in 2013 he was seconded to the Dutch firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek as foreign associate.

His practice focuses on EU and Spanish Competition law and has been involved in a variety of national and international antitrust infringement cases, and is regularly asked to advise on complex mergers (including the coordination of international multi-jurisdictional filings) and on the drafting and negotiation of franchise and distribution agreements. He has also implemented antirust compliance programmes and delivered training sessions for numerous clients.

Tomás represents leading companies from different sectors, such as banking and insurance, pharma, daily consumer goods, energy, waste management, real estate, automotive parts and building materials.

He has been recognised by the directory Competition – Future Leaders,published by Global Competition Review and Who’s Who Legal, where he has been included as one of the most highly regarded practitioners in continental Europe aged 45 or under.
