Career

Sergio Ponce is a lawyer in Uría Menéndez’s Madrid office. He became a partner in 2014. Since joining the firm in 2002, Sergio has specialised in employment and social security law.

Sergio has extensive experience in advising Spanish and foreign companies on the drafting and termination of employment contracts, particularly for senior executives, as well as on labour law issues relating to merger, acquisition and corporate restructuring transactions, and outsourcing procedures.

He frequently advises on redundancy procedures and collective bargaining agreements.

A substantial part of Sergio’s practice involves advising clients on their employment disputes, and representing them at court, as well as negotiating of out-of-court settlements. He also provides advice on remuneration, pensions, and other benefits.
