Career
Dariga Tokpayeva has joined our Tax and Legal Department as a Senior Lawyer and will be leading our legal group in Astana. She has experience with another Big Four company, focusing on IFI, public sector, quasi national and major local and foreign company projects on a range of legal issues. Her expertise is in investment, corporate and contract issues as well assupporting clients in tax and antitrust disputes (criminal, administrative and civil), and the implementation of public-private partnerships projects in Kazakhstan.
Dariga has significant experience in the public sector, including leading positions in the prosecutor’s office, police and financial police. In the public sector, Dariga has participated in a number of legislation groups, led projects to reorganise and streamline business processes in the relevant state authorities.

Dariga is a Bolashak, Erasmus Mundus and FDP alumni and a member of the Antitrust Association. She has a PhD, is a candidate of legal sciences, and has an LLM from Wake Forest University (US).
