Position

Marieke acts for large Dutch and international corporates, financial institutions, investment funds and other financial market participants. She specialises in banking, capital markets, structured finance and project finance, as well as regulatory issues in the financial markets. Her practice involves a broad range of transactions in the financial markets, including credit facilities, project financings, capital markets transactions, structured finance, restructurings and regulatory issues in the financial markets.

She has a Master of Laws from Maastricht University (1996). She holds a M.Jur. degree from Oxford University and a LL.M. degree from Columbia University in New York. Marieke is also qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and as an attorney-at-law in New York and has practiced law in London, New York and Italy. Before joining Stibbe as a partner in January 2021, Marieke gained 23 years of experience at other international law firms.
