Johannes Stalzer is an expert in public procurement law. Being active for more than 20 years in his areas of practice in Austria and CEE he has extensive expertise in advising both, governmental bodies and private sector clients in all potential issues in relation to complex procurement structures (such as PPP and concessions) and cross border procurement procedures. Johannes has longstanding experience in all procurement related aspects, particularly in structuring green energy projects, complex IT procurements (such as platform or open source solutions) and provides a wide coverage of services to domestic and international clients across various industries. Johannes has further significant experience in regulatory projects and PPP procedures in Hungary and CEE. Prior to re-entering Schoenherr Johannes worked in an international law firm and was based in Vienna and Budapest for several years. Most recently he was partner with a national law firm and responsible for all regulatory matters. Johannes obtained his law degree from the University of Vienna and is admitted to the Austrian bar since 2007. He is author in the European Public Procurement Commentary on Directive 2014/24/EU and frequently publishes articles and speaks in seminars subjecting various issues in relation to public procurement law.
