Roman Perner co-heads the corporate/m&a practice. He has more than 15 years of professional experience.  His expertise covers cross-border and domestic corporate reorganisations, corporate litigation and M&A. He has acted frequently for clients in the financial, construction, packaging and engineering industry in Austria as well as in the CEE region.


Roman Perner has recently advised Kathrein Privatbank AG in the de-merger of the private banking business from Raiffeisen Centrobank AG to Kathrein Privatbank AG, BMW group as well as Bilfinger group in the corporate reorganisation of their Austrian business, Tyson Foods on the USD 340 million acquisition of BRF’s business in Europe and Thailand, and Bilfinger Industrial Services Österreich GmbH on the sale of its Austrian subsidiary to TTI Beteiligungs und Management.

Roman also advised Mondelēz International on the Austrian aspects related to the coffee joint venture with D.E. Master Blenders 1753 (2015), Raiffeisen Bank International AG on the merger with unlisted parent Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG (2016), UNIQA Insurance Group AG in the largest corporate restructuring in the Austrian insurance industry 2016 and EVN AG, the Vienna Stock Exchange listed energy group, on the sale of its pension fund EVN Pensionskasse Aktiengesellschaft (2017).

He is a lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, the Academy for Law and Taxes (ARS) as well as at University of Applied Sciences in Vienna for more than 5 years.
