Sascha Hödl co-heads the Corporate/M&A practice. He has 25 years of professional experience in M&A, Private Equity and Public Takeovers. He is regularly providing corporate law advise to management and supervisory boards. He has been involved in high profile banking m&a and banking restructuring transactions in Austria and South Eastern Europe.


Recently, Sascha has advised the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Austria in the implementation of a financing agency – COFAG – as part of a portfolio of measures to mitigate the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Further, he recently advised UBS Europe SE on the sale of its Austrian wealth management business to LGT (Liechtenstein) in a structured auction, Neuraxpharm on its acquisition of Easypharm, Austria, HETA ASSET RESOLUTION on the disposals of  two EUR 200 million housing subsidy loan portfolios to BAWAG and, Schneider Electric on the acquisition of ProLeiT AG (all 2020). In recent years he has also advised HETA (formerly Hypo Alpe Adria International) on the sale of Hypo Group’s SEE Banking Network to Advent International and EBRD and Volksbanken Group on the sale of Volksbank International (now Addiko Bank) to Sberbank of Russia (2012 – 2017),French household equipment manufacturer Groupe SEB on the acquisition of German peer WMF Group (2016) and Bosch and MAHLE Groupe on the sale of the joint venture Bosch Mahle Turbo Systems (2018).
