David has considerable experience across the whole range of corporate transactions and arrangements, including restructurings, corporate reorganisations, demergers and related issues. He also advises on schemes of arrangement, capital reductions and share buy-backs, joint ventures and strategic alliances, commercial contracts/arrangements (including outsourcing) and corporate governance. David provides corporate law advice to a range of Irish and international clients on an ongoing basis.

McCann FitzGerald is active in handling contentious telecoms matters, acting for telecoms companies against both ComReg and other telecoms providers. The team also acts for ComReg in defence of proceedings brought by telecoms companies. On the non-contentious side, the team advises clients on corporate matters, including acquisitions and joint ventures in the telecoms space. The practice is led by Philip Andrews, who focuses on regulatory matters, David Lydon, who handles telecoms M&A, and Rosaleen Byrne, who is noted for her work in litigation.
The ‘very capable‘ team at McCann FitzGerald has extensive experience in litigation in the healthcare and life sciences sectors, with particular expertise in product liability disputes and patent litigation. The team also handles a range of non-contentious matters, including corporate transactions for leading pharmaceutical companies and regulatory issues, particularly in relation to pricing and reimbursements and medical devices. The practice is led by Roddy Bourke, who is highly regarded for his product liability expertise; Fiona O’Beirne, who has extensive experience representing originator companies in patent litigation; and David Lydon, who handles corporate matters.
Skilled in public and private M&A, McCann FitzGerald‘s ‘efficient, pragmatic and very experienced‘ team has been particularly active in high-profile transactions in the pharmaceutical, energy and insurance sectors, with notable expertise in advising private equity funds. The group also advises on joint ventures, reorganisations and takeovers, and privatisations. The energy and renewables space is a key area of expertise for practice head Valerie Lawlor, Alan Fuller and Rory O’Malley. Gill Lohan focuses on private M&A and restructurings.
