Career

P. Hermine E. Voûte, attorney at law, is chairwoman of the Employment & Benefits practice group. She has over 30 years’ all-round experience in employment law, with the emphasis on collective dismissals, employee representation, and collective bargaining.

She is a member of several Loyens & Loeff firmwide teams, such as the Corporate Investigations, Compliance & Defence Team. As a member of this team Hermine has handled sensitive internal investigations, including whistleblowing and fraud. She is also a member of the Pension team. She has amongst others represented clients in complex pension litigation cases. Lastly, she is also a member of the Healthcare Team, which has clients in the healthcare industry ranging from nursing institutions to academic hospitals, and from medical specialist companies to healthcare business owners. As a member of this team Hermine has mainly assisted clients with regard to the statutory remuneration cap that applies to senior officials in the healthcare sector.  

Hermine has published several articles on employment law subjects such as reorganisations, collective dismissals and corporate investigations.

Hermine has a Band 1 ranking in the category Employment in the Chambers Europe Guide 2019.

Supporting the social engagement that characterises our firm’s culture, amongst others Hermine is a member of the Board of the Right to Play Nederland Foundation as well as a member of the Supervisory board of the Cliniclowns Foundation, that brings resilience and lightness to sick and handicapped children.

Loyens & Loeff is home to a strong employment and pensions team with significant experience in both advisory and contentious work, often working with other departments to service all of a client’s needs. Hermine Voûte maintains a particular focus on executive dismissals, restructurings and collective dismissals, and co-determination procedures, leading the group along with Klaas Wiersma , who specializes in cross border work as well as the employment aspects of corporate transactions. On the pensions side, senior associate Laurie Kuijpers  is a key figure within the team, and is instructed by pension funds, insurers, and large corporates to handle a variety of pension issues.
