Jakob Schou Midtgaard is head of Plesner's Commercial Real Estate team.

Jakob benefits from an extensive network of contacts in the property industry, including property investors, developers and lenders, and he is renowned for using his knowledge of the industry to make complex transactions and projects succeed.

Over the past few years, Jakob's primary focus has been on international transactions and portfolio transactions, and he has also accumulated strong skills in the hotel segment. During this period, Jakob has also been actively involved in developing new forms of cooperation between institutional and international investors on one side and Danish developers and asset managers on the other side. The deeper understanding of investors’ needs and developers’ skills is often instrumental in identifying durable solutions in complex situations.

Jakob is an officer of the Real Estate Committee of the International Bar Association.

Plesner is noted for its work on high-profile transactions, projects and disputes. Niklas Korsgaard Christensen leads the construction team and primarily handles projects and arbitration matters; he recently assisted Dong with its €1.5bn development of the Hejrenoil and gas field in the North Sea, and worked with Peter Wengler-Jørgensen to advise on a multi-billion euro infrastructure project. Leif Djurhuus  leads the real estate team and specialises in rental disputes. Other key practitioners include Peter SchradieckTorben Bondrop, Frants Dalgaard-Knudsen, as well as Anders Friis and Jakob Schou Midtgaard who have extensive experience in real estate transactions.
