Niklas Korsgaard Christensen advises national and international businesses and public institutions and companies on the implementation of large complex projects and dispute resolution.

Niklas is an expert in infrastructure, energy and construction. In addition, Niklas is very experienced in dispute resolution, and he has handled a significant number of litigation and arbitration proceedings.

Niklas is a certified arbitrator and has an MBA from Cambridge University. Furthermore, he is an experienced lecturer. For example, he has been an external lecturer at the University of Copenhagen.

The group at Plesner has 'a superb dynamic across the team from junior associate to partner level', and clients single out Peter Schradieck, who is 'always engaged', 'positive' and 'simply very good at what he does'; he recently defended Nordea Bank Denmark in claims brought by the Municipality of Haderslev concerning swap transactions. Other work includes Torben Bondrop acting for CF Møller Architects in an arbitration relating to alleged design errors in the construction of the Mærsk Tårnet, and arbitrator Niklas Korsgaard Christensen handling an arbitration for Strukton Rail Denmark regarding the termination of a contract with railway company Banedanmark. Jimmy Skjold Hansen was recently promoted to the partnership and is experienced in cross-border matters.

Plesner is active in the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors with clients including Dana Petroleum and Gaz-Systems; team leader Niklas Korsgaard Christensen advised the latter on the €500bn Baltic Pipe Project, which will be a gas pipeline between Denmark and Poland. Christensen also assisted Dong E&P with its €1.5bn upstream oil and gas development project in the North Sea, and Mikkel Falkenberg acted for AP Moller on its sale of Maersk to Total.

Plesner provides 'the highest level of practical and theoretical knowledge' with 'no-nonsense advice and a pragmatic approach'. Energy specialist Niklas Korsgaard Christensen leads the team and recently advised Gaz-Systems on its collaboration with Energinet on the construction of a €500bn gas pipeline from Poland to Denmark. Renewable energy specialist Esben Kjær and senior associate Ellen Skodborggaard, who is an expert in environmental law, are also key names to note.

Plesner is noted for its work on high-profile transactions, projects and disputes. Niklas Korsgaard Christensen leads the construction team and primarily handles projects and arbitration matters; he recently assisted Dong with its €1.5bn development of the Hejrenoil and gas field in the North Sea, and worked with Peter Wengler-Jørgensen to advise on a multi-billion euro infrastructure project. Leif Djurhuus  leads the real estate team and specialises in rental disputes. Other key practitioners include Peter Schradieck, Torben Bondrop, Frants Dalgaard-Knudsen, as well as Anders Friis and Jakob Schou Midtgaard who have extensive experience in real estate transactions.

Group head Peter Fogh is experienced in financings, transactions and alternative dispute resolution. Recent highlights include Fogh acting for OW Tankers, whose vessels had been arrested in Uruguay by a local oil supplier; fellow practice head Mikkel Falkenberg advising AP Møller on its agreements with the Danish State regarding decommissioning liabilities associated with its North Sea offshore installations stemming from the client's sale of its Danish operations to Total, and Niklas Korsgaard Christensen assisting Kalaallit Airports with the €600m construction and financing of three airports in Greenland.
