Thomas Maaberg Hansen has extensive experience in complex finance transactions, and provides advice that focuses on the clients' commercial interests.

Thomas advises Danish and international businesses, private equity funds and banks on financing and capital market transactions, including acquisition finance, project and asset finance and financial reconstruction.

Thomas is recognised for his strong negotiating skills and commercial approach.

Plesner is recognised for its work on big-ticket deals for a client roster including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley. Practice co-head Thomas Maaberg Hansen is an expert in acquisition and project finance, while fellow co-head Søren Thyssen Valerius also focuses on corporate lending. Recent highlights include Hansen advising CrÊdit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank and Deutsche Bank on the financing of a number of facilities for Copenhagen Airport, and Valerius acting for Danske Bank and Nordea Bank on the debt and mortgage financing of the redevelopment of Rønne Harbour. Rasmus Mandøe Jensen works on acquisition financings for private equity houses and is 'a very strong leveraged finance lawyer', who 'has great commercial understanding' and is 'a solid negotiator'. Jørgen Permin left to start his own advisory firm.

Other work includes fellow ECM head Nicolai Ørsted assisting Sparekassen Sjælland-Fyn with its €61m rights issuance, and DCM group head Thomas Maaberg Hansen acting for DKT Finance on its €1.5m issuance of high-yield notes. Micha Fritzen and Henrik Laursen are highly experienced in handling IPOs; Laursen attracts praise as 'a very strong practitioner who always goes the extra mile for clients'.
