Thomas Holst Laursen is a partner in our Corporate Finance team and has extensive experience in handling large complex transactions within private and public M&A, capital markets transactions (IPOs, etc) as well as transactions involving financing through other convertible securities, bonds, and securitisation.

Thomas has been active in all areas of transactions within a range of sectors. Clients include private equity funds and venture funds, investment banks and listed companies as well as international clients operating in Denmark.

In addition to transactional work, Thomas also provides advice to boards of directors on board duties, including in relation to disclosure obligations and corporate governance.

Thomas has been involved in cross-border/international transactions globally.

Over recent years Thomas has primarily been active in the pharmaceutical industry and in the energy and finance sector.

Advising blue-chip clients, Plesner has expertise in all areas of capital markets transactions, including public M&A, IPOs and listings, rights issuances and delistings. Thomas Holst Laursen and Nicolai Ørsted jointly lead the ECM team. The ‘fantastic’ Henrik Laursen is part of the ECM team which assisted Tryg with its €4.97bn rights issuance (the largest ever ECM transaction in Denmark). The group also handles accelerated book-builds as well as advising on ECM transactions relating to companies and securities listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen and foreign regulated markets.

Plesner‘s commercial, corporate and M&A teams provide specialist advice to international and Danish corporates, including major private equity houses. Hans Hedegaard and Lars Bunch co-head the corporate and M&A practice, which includes Henrik Rossing Lønberg and takes on complex bet-the-company matters. On the commercial side, the team is led by Jacob Ørskov Rasmussen, who has extensive experience in commercial contracts, including drafting and negotiating franchise agreements. Christian Kjølbye and Thomas Holst Laursen are experts in privatisations and public takeovers, while Tina Kang handles sell-side mandates. Simon Krogh is head of the private investment funds team.
