Jakob is primarily engaged in mergers & acquisitions and other corporate matters and has extensive experience in advising businesses and financial investors (private equity and venture capital) on transactions in Denmark and abroad.

Jakob advises buyers and sellers of businesses during the entire process from the initial structuring of the process and the transaction (via due diligence) to the drafting and negotiation of the transaction documents. During recent years, Jakob has been involved in a large number of Outbound Legal cases, in which he has been assisting Danish clients in transactions outside Denmark, and where his understanding of the client's business and perspective combined with his international skills, expertise and large international network have contributed to creating value-added solutions for the clients.

Jakob has particular experience in advising on joint ventures, partnerships and other strategic alliances in Denmark and abroad, including the structuring of such international partnerships and the other relevant legal aspects to be considered.

Also, Jakob is head of Kromann Reumert’s specialist group on international trade, which advises on topics relating to business formation, distribution and trade abroad. The group specialises in both contractual and regulatory issues (e.g. export controls and trade restrictions (embargoes, etc.) and money transfers).K soliK soli

M&A powerhouse Kromann Reumert works across a broad range of sectors on its deals with recent highlights including Henrik Møgelmose advising DLF Seeds on its acquisition of Syngenta's sugar beet seed business, Christian Lundgren assisting TDC with its sale to a consortium comprised of Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund, PFA Pension, PKA and ATP; and Christina Bruun Geertsen acting for Altor Fund IV on its acquisition of Tresu from Erhvervsinvest. Further work includes Jørgen Kjergaard Madsen assisting Hellman & Friedman with its all-cash public offer for shares in Nets, Christian Ibsen acting for Eniig Energi on its acquisition of Naturgas, and Jens Steen Jensen handling Danica Pension's acquisition of SEB's pension operations in Denmark. Marianne Philip is also a key practitioner and advises on M&A, restructuring and general corporate law; also noted are Jakob Hans Johansen, Anders Stubbe Arndal and Jacob Høgh Madsen.
