Jakob has extensive international experience and in-depth knowledge of debt capital markets. Recently, Jakob advised a group of banks on the restructuring of the Danish shipping group Torm and the arrangers of Welltec's high-yield bond issue. Jakob became a partner in 2007. He was head of Kromann Reumert's London office from 2002-2005.

Kromann Reumert handles the full spectrum of banking and finance work, and is particularly prominent in acquisition, structured and project financings. Jakob Bernhoft is a key figure in the group and has expertise in acquisition financings and debt restructurings; he advised Nykredit Bank and Nordea Bank on their joint financing of Axcel’s purchase of a majority stake in Mountain Top Industries. Kim Rasmussen is also an expert in structured finance work and regulatory issues, and Jeppe Buskov assisted Procuritas with its leveraged buyout of sofa design company Sofakompagniet.
