Position

José M. López Useros actively participates in investment arbitration proceedings and in international and national commercial arbitration proceedings, primarily in construction, engineering, and supply contracts. He also advises on domestic litigation.

Career

José M. López Useros was admitted to the Madrid Bar in 2003 and joined B. Cremades & Asociados in April 2006. He has focused his professional practice on national and international litigation, including arbitration. As a practising litigator, he has managed legal proceedings in all instances of the State (Courts of First Instance, Commercial Courts, Provincial Courts, Superior Courts of Justice, Supreme Court and Constitutional Court) in civil/commercial and contentious-administrative judicial proceedings. In the last 11 years he has worked as a party attorney and as secretary and/or assistant to the Arbitral Tribunal in national and international arbitration proceedings under the rules of CAM, ICC, ICSID, as well as “ad hoc” arbitrations. In 2021 Mr. López Useros was promoted from the position of Counsel to Partner.
