Career
Emma Lejeune has been developing her private client practice for more than 12 years. Previously a Partner at another large international firm, Emma went on to establish her own boutique private client and family office practice, Legacy Consulting, before selling the firm and joining the ISOLAS partnership.
She began building her portfolio of private clients during her time in corporate law, having built up good relationships with the founders and senior management of her corporate clients, as well as from international intermediaries with whom she has established strong links. She has undertaken significant studies during the last 10 years, in particular, undertaking a diploma specialising in the advising of family offices and attending regular professional development events on international taxation, European standards, succession and the structuring of family offices, amongst others.
Emma’s main practice includes advising UHNWI, HNWI and family offices on all of their requirements. She deals with relocations, assists in the establishment of succession plans and family asset planning, as well as advising on family governance. She also advises family offices on any financial services regulatory matters which may apply to them.
In addition to her private client work, Emma has significant experience in other areas of corporate and financial services. Emma began her career in the corporate and commercial department, assisting corporate clients on all aspects of their business set up in Gibraltar and has handled numerous private equity investments. She formed part of the gaming team assisting clients with their gaming applications in Gibraltar as well as ensuring regulatory compliance. Emma also has significant financial services regulatory experience, having handled numerous applications for financial services licences, including Mifid investment services licences and DLT.
