Position

Kristin Veierød is chairman for the board of directors at Advokatfirmaet Hjort, as well as being a partner.

Kristin assists clients in a broad range of corporate law matters, such as contracts, clarifying legal framework conditions, board and management liability issues, and dispute resolution.

Kristin not only has extensive litigation experience, she is also an arbitration judge and has worked on various investigative inquiry assignments. Most notably, she led Hjort’s investigation in the so-called Panama papers case for the board of DNB ASA.

Kristin specializes within the practice areas of technology, media and communication, and has in-depth knowledge of the electronic communication sector, where she offer ongoing legal advice, assists in complaints and has conducted a number of landmark litigation cases.

Kristin assists government agencies and other public enterprises, as well as private businesses subject to regulations under public law.

Kristin holds lectures and seminars covering a broad range of topics, including digitalization and new corporate models, the use of cloud services and regulatory framework conditions, as well as administrative law issues, specifically on legal impartiality, confidentiality, and complaints.
