Rikke is partner and member of the Board of Directors of the Firm. Rikke advises clients within a wide range of sectors on capital markets transactions, corporate reorganisations and mergers and ac-quisitions including public takeovers. Rikke also specialises in the fields of securities law, and corporate governance, remuneration and incentive programmes with particular focus on listed companies. Rikke has assisted on virtually all recent larger Danish IPOs such as Chr. Hansen Holding, Pandora, TDC, Matas, ISS and NNIT.


Rikke Schiøtt Petersen joined Gorrissen Federspiel in 1996. She was a foreign associate with Cravath Swain & Moore in 2001-2002 and she became a partner in 2006. Since 2015, she is a member of the Danish Corporate Governance Committee established by the Danish Ministry of Business and Growth. She is also appointed as legal expert appointed to the Board of Directors of the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, established by the Danish Ministry of Business and Growth. Since 2016, she is a member of the committee of larger public cultural projects, established by the Danish Ministry of Culture.

Gorrissen Federspiel's sizable team has handled a number of top ticket deals in the M&A space; group co-head¬†Anders √ėrjan Jensen¬†and¬†Tomas Haagen¬†advised SEB on the¬†‚ā¨873m sale of SEB Pension in Denmark to Danske Bank,¬†Olaf C Ehrenskj√∂ld¬†and¬†Rikke Schi√łtt Petersen¬†handled Nets' ‚ā¨5.5bn takeover by Hellmann & Friedmann, and¬†Klaus S√łgaard¬†and¬†Charlotte Thorsen¬†assisted Maersk with its¬†$7.5bn sale of¬†Maersk Oil to Total. Maersk also instructed¬†Finn M√łller¬†on its¬†$1.2bn divestment of Maersk Tankers, and¬†Niels Heering¬†acted for Nykredit on a¬†‚ā¨1.7bn investment by a consortium of pension providers.¬†Niels Bang¬†and¬†Anders Peter G.
