Career

PIERRE DE MONTALEMBERT HAS BEEN A PARTNER OF THE FIRM SINCE 2015.

With an experience of 40 years of practicing the legal profession in business law, Pierre de Montalembert mainly advises companies but also a few foundations and individuals.

He intervenes mainly in matters of commercial law and economic law . He has extensive experience assisting companies in their mergers, competition investigations, antitrust litigation, commercial contracts, distribution and European law. He also has abroad experience in the fields of corporate law and mergers and acquisitions.

Holder of a DEA in private international law and international trade law (1978) and a Masters in business law (Paris I), graduated from ESCP (1976) and New York University Law School (1981) .

Before joining Ginestié, Magellan Paley-Vincent in 2015, Pierre de Montalembert worked in several French or American firms including Hogan Lovells, where for twelve years he headed the Antitrust, Competition and Economic Regulation Department for France.

Pierre de Montalembert has been a member of the Bar Council of the Paris Bar Association from 1994 to 1997. He was one of the founders of the Association of Competition Law Practitioners’ Lawyers (APDC), of which he was a director from 2008 to 2018.

He is the author of numerous academic articles relating to economic law.
