Paolo Gnignati specialises in corporate litigation, bankruptcy and corporate consultancy for financial institutions and industrial companies. He has acquired in-depth experience in matters related to restructuring and insolvency.
Before joining the firm in 2010, he worked in a leading international law firm as Head of the Litigation Department and Co-Head of the Corporate Restructuring Department.


He speaks Italian and English


He is a member of the Association of Certified Auditors and of the Italian Bar. 


He graduated “cum laude” in Law from the University of Padua. He is a member of the Association of Certified Auditors.

Paolo Gnignati has been representing Gianfranco Zoppas and Finanziaria Internazionale as the liquidator of Veneto Banca in the dispute arising from the resolution of capital increase by Ferak, a corporate joint venture between the clients and the Amenduni Group. Antonio Auricchio is defending the majority shareholder in Ansaldo STS Hitachi against a series of challenges and injunctions brought by the minority shareholders, while practice head GianBattista Origoni is acting for 21 Partners in a civil-commercial dispute before the Tribunal de Commerce in Paris regarding an investment made by individuals in a start-up commodity products company.

Paolo Brugnera is the head of Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners's Padua office, where the team takes a 'simple, serious and effective approach'. The firm's recent work included assisting Grandi Molini Italiani with its €200m restructuring (through a 'concordato preventivo' procedure), and advising Metalco Street Furniture on its €5m acquisition of Bellitalia. Elsewhere, members of the team advise clients on labour law, IP and litigation, among other areas. Paolo Gnignati is the name to note for bankruptcy proceedings and insolvency.
