Position

David Borg-Carbott is Counsel within the firm’s investment services and funds team with particular focus on advising investment firms, asset managers, investment funds, and their service providers. Over the years, David has amassed significant expertise and experience in the area, advising and assisting investment services clients with novel or complex legal structures, transactions, and legal or local and EU regulatory issues, including redomiciliations, mergers, and aspects of custody and settlement.

David also regularly advises on and assists with the broader range of legal, regulatory and compliance matters in the financial services industry, including obtaining regulatory authorisation, the establishment and authorisation of investment services businesses and funds, and the regulatory aspects of corporate acquisitions within the financial services sector.

David has been ranked as a Rising Star by Legal 500 (2022) for investment funds in Malta.
