Career

Piotr Sadownik advises leading Polish and foreign companies from the mining, metallurgical, oil and gas, energy, telecommunications and media sectors, as well as those in banking and finance, automotive, real estate, food and luxury goods. He represents clients in proceedings before arbitration courts, common courts and the Supreme Court, as well as before administrative bodies, administrative courts and the Supreme Administrative Court.

For many years now, he has been supporting private investors at all stages of complex infrastructure projects, such as obtaining financing for road investments, including motorways, pipelines, railways, sea and air terminals, and mining projects. He has practical experience in organising investment processes and various models of financing infrastructure projects.

He represents both contracting authorities and contractors in the course of all types of proceedings awarding public procurement contracts. He prepares analyses and delivers opinions for the benefit of contracting authorities, public authorities and international institutions in the area of interpreting legal provisions and compliance of Polish regulations with European standards.

He also specialises in intellectual property law and new technologies. He advises clients on issues concerning copyright law, patent law, the protection of trade marks, designs, models and geographical indications, as well as on the protection of personal data and media & telecommunications. He successfully represents clients in proceedings before courts and state authorities, including the Polish Patent Office and the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM).

He joined Gide Loyrette Nouel in 1993 and was elected as partner of Gide Loyrette Nouel in 1999. He was admitted to the Warsaw Bar in 1996.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Warsaw in 1992 and the Faculty of Law at the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas in 1992.
