Position

Szymon Chwaliński is a legal advisor at Gide Loyrette Nouel’s Warsaw Office. He previously worked at the Polish Competition Authority. His professional practice concentrates on the broad scope of Polish and European competition, consumer protection law and distribution law. For the past 10 years he has been advising leading international and Polish companies on issues related to the application of competition and distribution law, including in the retail, telecommunication and media, cosmetics, environment, energy and financial services sectors. His experience covers representing clients before the Polish Competition Authority in the course of antitrust proceedings related to the partial or total acquisitions of significant companies. Furthermore, Szymon advises in the area of state aid law. Szymon has had articles published in Gazeta Prawna, The Warsaw Voice and Rzeczpospolita. He also regularly holds workshops on competition law and consumer protection regulations.
