Career
Mark Jansen is head of Data Protection and Cybersecurity team at Dirkzwager. He provides guidance on contracting for large and small IT projects, advising and litigating in the event of failed automations and supporting clients with all kinds of issues surrounding privacy law. Mark assists both customers and suppliers, though his main focus is on IT systems customers.
Mark regularly gives lectures on IT and privacy law and writes about these subjects on websites and in professional journals. He is one of the head lecturers of the data protection course at Grotius Academy (post graduate permanent education).

The team, led by Ernst-Jan van de Pas, regularly works on IT-related matters in the healthcare and life sciences sector, including handling cases that reach the Supreme Court and negotiating tech partnerships between hospitals and high-tech medical devices companies. Mark Jansen heads the data protection and cybersecurity teams and is instrumental in drafting GIBIT terms (new conditions for procuring IT services and products) in Dutch municipalities.
