Position

David qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and joined Edwin Coe’s Corporate & Commercial team in 1999. He has wide experience in acting for corporate and individual clients in relation to commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, fund raising and debt financing. He has advised many overseas companies on their European investment strategies whether by way of outright acquisition, joint ventures or start-ups.

In addition, David provides general corporate and commercial advice on joint ventures and shareholder agreements and on directors’ duties and liabilities. His clients include owner-managed businesses, public and multinational companies and banks.

David qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and joined Edwin Coe’s corporate and commercial team in 1999.

The team at Edwin Coe LLP handles public and private M&A, and acts for a number of overseas companies investing in the UK, such as United Technologies, Sabre Airline Solutions, Kout Food Group and Bel Fuse. The practice is led by Russel Shear, who recently acted for Germany-based Siegwerk Druckfarben on the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of ink supplier Hi-Tech Products. Other highlights included Alexandre Terrasse advising on the sale of the entire issued share capital of a wind power producing company based in Ukraine to a large Swedish energy group, and acting for a specialist steels and alloys manufacturer on the £17m purchase of metal manufacturing assets for the automotive and aviation industries. Victor Hawrych, David Kinch and John Young, who joined from Mishcon de Reya LLP in May 2017, are also noted.
