Career

Veit Öhlberger joined DORDA in 2005. He specialises in international arbitration and commercial contracts and is an expert for commercial disputes on contracts, corporate law, M&A, and joint ventures. He also focuses on trade and distribution. Veit works as a party counsel as well as an arbitrator and leads the firm’s China desk. His arbitration experience includes working under the ICC, UNCITRAL, CIETAC, DIS and KCAB.

Before joining DORDA, Veit was a trainee at an international law firm and an intern at CIETAC in Beijing.
In addition, he speaks and publishes on trade and distribution law, international arbitration, and business and disputes with Chinese parties. Between 2011 and 2016, he was lecturer for Chinese business law at the University of Applied Sciences Joanneum.

Veit Öhlberger graduated from the University of Vienna (Dr iur 2004) and the University of Oxford (M.Jur. 2004). He undertook additional legal studies at the London School of Economics and the Renmin University of China.
