DnB NOR offers the Swedish market the opportunity to indirectly invest in shipping projects

DnB NOR Bank ASA, the largest financial institution in Norway, has been assisted by Mannheimer Swartling in connection with its offer to the Swedish market to indirectly invest in various shipping projects.

For this purpose, DnB NOR Bank ASA has established a Swedish company, DnB NOR ShippingInvest I AB (publ), which is conducting a new share issue of up to SEK 300 million directed to institutional and private investors in Sweden. It is intended that several equivalent new issues will be carried out during a period of almost two years. The subscription period runs from 22 September until 31 October 2008. The company’s sole purpose is to invest in DnB NOR Shipping I AS which invests directly or indirectly in shipping projects.

The team from Mannheimer Swartling mainly consisted of Annika Andersson (project leader) and Daniel Wessner regarding corporate and securities issues including the preparation of a prospectus as well as Anders Erasmie and Katja Meitz regarding tax issues. The partner in charge was Anders Erasmie.
