Ratos sells Hägglunds Drives

July 2008

Mannheimer Swartling has advised Ratos AB (publ) in its divestment of Hägglunds Drives to the German company Bosch Rexroth for a total share price of approximately SEK 4,300 million. Hägglunds Drives is an international supplier of hydraulic drive systems, drive motors and services. The company has subsidiaries in 16 countries and has approximately 900 employees.

Martin Ericsson was the partner responsible for the transaction. Terese Holmqvist acted as project manager and was principally assisted by Sophie Ahlberg, Petter Åkerlund, William Charles and Klas Sjödin (M&A). Mannheimer Swartling’s Frankfurt and New York offices were responsible for issues under German and American law. Local counsel in a number of countries were also engaged in the transaction.

Oliver Schulte was responsible in Germany, assisted primarily by Verena Behnke and Susanne Bärlin. Maria Tufvesson Shuck was responsible in the U.S. and assisted by Hendrik Kangasmuukko.

Magnus Wallander was responsible for the labour law aspects and was primarily assisted by Kerstin Kamp-Wigforss. Per Josefson was responsible for intellectual property and was assisted by Claudia Wallman and Oscar Björkman.
